If you suffer from dry skin then you will know how much of a pain in the butt it is to find foundations to suit your skin type.
I've suffered from dry skin for as long as i can remember, even back in my school days i remember getting such bad dry skin that people used to point it out to me.
Having dry skin isn't exactly something we can help, same goes with those who have oily skin it's something that's out of our control and we cannot help the fact that we suffer from these skin conditions.
Over the years i've tested out a ton of foundations, i mean, i've probably tried out more foundations than any normal person but that's because my skin got so bad a couple of years ago that my bad flakey dry skin just kept resurfacing over my moisturiser, foundation and concealer - it was horrid and not a great sight!
I've picked out 5 of my favourite drugstore foundations which i've tried tested, loved and approved of and wanted to share them with you all - please note: what may work for me, may not always work for you so please keep this in mind if your purchasing any of these foundations.

This foundation is probably my least favourite but still one of my favourites, if that even makes sense.
The coverage is amazing and gives you that nice healthy all round glow, it covers up any dry patches you may have and sits nicely on top of the dry skin instead of sinking into it. However i wouldn't say this foundation is perfect for if your ever heading out for a full day as within like 5-6 hours into the day the foundation slowly seeps in more and reveals your dry patches. It's not obvious and you cannot see the dry areas unless you stare closely into a mirror but that's a down point on this foundation, otherwise it would be perfect!

Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation - 7/10

As with the Maybelline foundation mentioned above this Rimmel Match Perfection also gives you great coverage and hides any dry patches. This foundation does last a lot longer than the Maybelline foundation, however this foundation is lighter and gives a high but more sheer coverage and also seeps into the dry areas during the day which in turn reveals your dry patches.

The Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation was one of my favourites of last year, it gives you a natural looking glow and has great coverage. It also makes your skin look more awake and gives you a nice glow which lasts through out the day. I didn't really find a problem with this other than if your skin is really, really dry then it may pick up on the dry areas, however this is great to use if your skin is only a little dry - i remember loving this foundation and using it most of last year.

Moving onto my favourite brand of foundation for dry skin - Bourjois! I've always loved Bourjois for as long as i can remember, they have always been amazing on my dry skin and never once let me down.
The Bourjois Happy Light Foundation is exactly what it says on the bottle.. 'light'. It's a light coverage foundation which is great for those with slightly dry skin, it gives you a nice natural glow and is just the right consistency to cover any blemishes whilst keeping your skin looking natural and not caked in foundation.  I tend to use this a lot more in the Summer time for a light fresh but natural looking skin.

My favourite all round favourite for dry skin is the ever-so famous Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum/Foundation, this has got to be my 10th bottle of this by now as i've used this since my school days. I've been using the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation as my main foundation of choice for about 5-6 years now and then recently picked up the Healthy Mix Serum to try out a few months ago. I cannot really tell the difference in them as they both have great coverage, last all day, smell amazing and also give you a nice glow through out the day and on top of that is by far the best drugstore foundation for dry skin.
